A Glimpse Inside

In A Glimpse Inside, I photograph domestic interiors through doorways, mirrors and other partial openings. These structures determine how much of a room, and of the people within it, can be seen. Figures and ordinary activities appear only in fragments, interrupted by walls, reflections and the edges of the frame. The photographs therefore offer access to private spaces while withholding a complete view of them. This partial visibility is central to the project. The camera looks inward, but it never becomes invisible or neutral. Its position raises questions about the distance between observing a private moment and entering it, and about the boundaries established by both architecture and photography.

The images are presented as projections directly onto the exhibition wall. When viewers move in front of them, their bodies interrupt the light and become temporary surfaces for the photographs. This makes the act of looking physically present within the work. The installation connects the restricted viewpoint inside each image with the viewer’s own position outside it, allowing privacy, visibility and spectatorship to meet in the exhibition space.
